DiguanGame, the video game managed and developed by Innuo, has won the prize for the Best Health Game in the Patients category, awarded by the Jury at the 1st National Congress of Health Games, organized by Com Salud and Redpacientes.
The video game can be downloaded to an Android or iOS or played on a computer, the player being someone who has to learn to control their illness and to take decisions about the measurement of their glycemia, nutrition, monitoring or treatment. Since the creation of the game at the end of 2013, it has been played more than 11,800 times, with an average game duration of more than 6 minutes.
The Diguan video game is part of the Diguan digital eco-system, a project whose aims are to help adolescents to manage Type 1 diabetes, and to raise society’s awareness and acceptance of the illness. The Diguan eco-system facilitates interaction with the adolescent, and is composed of a website, a videoblog, a YouTube channel and a serious game. The project was created by a multi-disciplinary team composed of health professionals, scientific societies (SED and SEEP) and patients (FEDE), with support from Sanofi.
